Suite for solo organ composed for Stephen Distad, to be premiered in the sanctuary of Memorial Drive United Methodist Church in Houston, Texas. The organ has a predominantly wood color in the console and facade, hence the inspiration for the piece’s title.

The titles of the three movements come from typical elements of a worship service, but the writing style is more contemporary in overall. All movements can be heard on our recording “Ages Past and Present!”
